‘Path to Being’ 2023

‘PATH TO BEING’ TEACHER TRAINING 2023

THIS IS A JOURNEY TO THE ESSENCE OF WHO WE ARE.
A DEEP DIVE INTO THE PRACTICE & KNOWLEDGE.
A CALLING TO REVEAL THE TEACHER WITHIN ALL OF US.

It is an intimate training to foster learning, connections & personal growth. Supported by a passionate faculty of knowledgeable & embodied teachers.

YOU'RE INVITED.

// Our 2023 Teacher Training registrations are open. If you wish to have a chat about it, simply email us so we can talk about it! //

Does the world need another Yoga Teacher Training programme? Maybe not... But more than ever, it needs more of us cultivating presence & attention, kindness & wisdom.

Will you get a paper at the end? Yes. But let’s be clear, it’ll only be a beginning.

This training is for anyone who is curious to extend their knowledge & practice of yoga in all its forms. It is about deepening YOUR practice first; going further on the path of being a student of Yoga, valuing personal experience & embodiment above all. It is about getting more tools to navigate the world around us & tune in to the world within us.
And it is about sharing; bringing your knowledge & contribution to others - under the label of "yoga teacher" or not - because it matters.

  • Growth takes time. And so, we'll take the time. With 200hrs of actual teaching contact hours, we will take the time to dive into our curriculum & adapt the pace to the group. Time between the modules will allow self-practice & reflection and most importantly, integration of the knowledge.

  • Learning takes space. And so, you'll have the space. With a small group of 10 students maximum, we want to provide each participant with attention & care. Quality over quantity.

  • Teaching takes practice. And so, you'll practice. With extended time & space, you will have many opportunities to apply the knowledge & techniques week after week, receiving constructive feedbacks from the faculty of teachers. Whether your intention is to teach yoga in the end or not, you will develop skills & confidence that will transform you beyond the mat.

Our training is accredited by the Yoga Alliance under the elevated RYS200 standards.
To complete your certification, attendance to the whole training is required. You will also need to pass a written exam & a practical exam.

Students graduating from the programme will be entitled to register as 'RYT 200' with the Yoga Alliance.

DO I NEED TO BE ABLE TO DO ADVANCED YOGA POSES TO JOIN THE TRAINING?
No, you don't. First of, the purpose of a training is to learn, so if we expected you to already have an advanced practice, then we would call it an advanced training! You need to have a consistent practice, strong interest to learn & enough understanding of the basics that the large amount of information that we teach in the training will take your journey further, not drawn you... You do not need to know how to handstand to join the training, but keep in mind that our morning practices are usually 2 hours long so a good overall physical health is needed!

WHAT HAPPENS IF I ALREADY HAVE COMMITMENTS ON SOME DAYS OF THE TRAINING?
We require 100% attendance to graduate and receive a certificate of completion from our programme. However, we understand that you may have important commitments outside of the training or that unplanned absences may happen due to illness or emergency circumstances. Should such circumstances impact attendance, students are permitted to miss up to 2 days of classes, provided they work with the programme director to make up any missed hours.
If more than one weekend of training is missed, the student will be responsible for rescheduling missed hours to make up any course material they have missed (additional costs may apply).

I DO NOT INTEND TO TEACH YOGA. IS THE TRAINING RIGHT FOR ME?
100% YES! To be honest, most people who join our trainings do not intend to be yoga teachers. Our programme is first & foremost a journey for yourself to dive deeper into the practice & knowledge of yoga. That being said, we believe that there is a lot to learn about a topic by teaching it & sharing it with others. We are 100% confident that the methods & tools we share in our Teaching Methodology modules will be valuable to you not only to teach effective, safe & confident classes shall you wish to go there one day, but also beyond useful for life & work.

I HAVE AN INJURY/SPECIAL CONDITION/AM PREGNANT - CAN I ATTEND THE TRAINING?
It depends. The first question is whether you have the green light from your medical doctor. Provided you do, let's have a chat! A lot of physical limitations are actually not limitations for the training (it can even be a chance for you, and others, to learn to adapt the practice in similar cases!). Regarding pregnancy, there also it depends - we've actually had pregnant ladies in all our training groups & always found ways to make it work!

WILL I BE QUALIFIED TO TEACH YOGA PROFESSIONALLY ONCE I COMPLETE THE TRAINING?
Yes! Through our training programme you will have many opportunities to practice teaching in order to foster your skills & confidence. We also talk about ways to develop yoga as a job, marketing, insurance - all of it! Many of our graduates from previous training currently teach & have been hired by yoga studios (including Bubble Yoga!), university sports teams, corporate offices & more!
Know that your journey does not end on graduation day & our faculty of teachers will keep supporting you on your teaching path beyond the training programme. Our Yoga Alliance certification provides you with an international standard, meaning your teacher's certificate will be recognised anywhere in the world.

WHAT DOES 'YOGA ALLIANCE ELEVATED STANDARDS' MEAN?
The Yoga Alliance is an American non-profit association representing the yoga community around the world. It sets a number of rules & requirements to evaluate yoga trainings in order to provide uniformed standards of education across the world.
Since 2021, the YA has raised the standards to enhance the quality & safety of services offered by yoga schools, adding stricter requirements about effective classroom hours, standards of education & experience for the lead teachers, minimum practice hours for the trainees prior to graduating the programme, an overall stricter application review process & more.
In this transition period, some previously registered schools are still running programmes based on the old standards (they have until end of 2023 to catch up with the new requirements), some schools have already been certified or upgraded to the new standards which is why you may see differences between trainings although they may hold the same RYS (Registered Yoga School) labels.
>> Bubble Yoga Academy is a 'RYS200' programme certified under the new elevated standards. Students graduating from our programme will be entitled to register as 'RYT200' (Registered Yoga Teacher) with the Yoga Alliance.
